A Sad Day in Drinking News
Friday, March 31st, 2006A group of scientists have combed over decades of studies that almost all point to the well-know fact that drinking alcohol (and in particular, Red Wine) in moderation is good for you, especially the heart.
It was announced today that ALL of these studies over the last 50 years have had a minor statistical glitch that has thrown the data off enough to possibly make the claim TOTALLY FALSE!
The error: In the control group of “non-drinkers” in all these studies, they have included people who had to stop drinking for medical reasons…. and of course these people are going to, on average, die quicker or be more unhealthy than the norm!
CRAP! Stupid scientific method. Stupid scientists. Someone should burry this news quickly. I’ve been using the “fact” that alcohol is good for you for years now, and I don’t want that excuse to go away! When scientist get to a result that everyone likes, they should STOP TESTING!
