Homemade Hydration Drink
Ever had a hangover, diarrhea, or just an active day where you just didn’t get enough beverages? Dehydration is a phobia of mine… which is an okay match for someone with a beverage obsession. I discovered this simple recepie made out of stuff everyone has in their kitchen (after a trip to Mexico… if you know what I mean). Water alone really can’t rehydrate you and replenish the electrolites you need… and now you don’t have to buy expensive sport drinks. Measure exactly for best results. Drink a batch of this and you’ll be on your way back to normal. It works.
- 1 quart (950 ml) water
- ½ teaspoon (2.5 g) baking soda
- ½ teaspoon (2.5 g) table salt
- 3 to 4 tablespoons (45 to 60 g) sugar
- If available, add ¼ teaspoon (1.25 g) salt substitute, such as “Lite Salt”
