Party Foul
Here’s your odd drink news for the day. Back in 2002 in a Miami nightclub, a customer lit a menu on fire and used it to interrept the flow of Bacardi 151 that the bartender was pouring. Of course, Bacardi 151 is highly flammable. A woman who was sitting nearby caught on fire and was seriously burned.
Now she is suing Bacardi claiming she has been “permanently disabled and disfigured” because of their “defective” product.
Wow. That would really suck.
I still plan on having a couple of flaming drinks at the TIKI party this Saturday.

How can the chemical properties of the main ingredient of a product be considered a defect?
Re flaming drinks this weekend: I knew a guy in college who carried a scar on his cheek from a sophmore year flaming shot accident. Mind you, Marcy and I are bringing Cherries Jubilee and either Bananas or Peaches Foster. So there will be some flame.
