Beer 2: The New Batch

Here it is. The second batch in my brew-capades began late last week. It’s a NUT BROWN ALE. The can on the left is the malt extract (so much easier than malting from scratch). On the right is my new 30 quart pot that makes beer brewing so much cleaner and easier.

This Nut Brown Ale was much more complicated because of the giant tea-bag looking thing that contained 3 kinds of Barley (Chocolate, Dark Crystal, & Roasted). It smelled so good in the kitchen that day. Unlike the last batch, before I had the giant pot, where everything kept brewing over and burning on the eye.

This batch will be ready in about 5 more weeks.

UPDATE: This batch turned out SKUNKY. I had to throw it all out. I’ve done 3 good batches since then though!
